170$?!?! thats such a rip.. go to a aftermarket parts store.. like something something auto parts or even a junkyard..look in a phone book. i got mine primed at certifit auto parts (in wa.. i dont think theyre nation-wide) for $28 and it fits like its brand new oem.
check car-part.com
someone else posted that site too, its great..it searches tons and tons of junkyards... if you dont care about OEM or aftermarket, buy a new aftermarket one online, i forget the name of the site, but there are plenty of them, selling for around 80 shipped...
hey EL, can you get other fenders too that are painted, if you have some sort of hook up, lemme know too, im lookin for a few body parts!

i need a white one off a 98 civic. it has to be 98 too cuz 98 is taffeta white, and 96-97 was frost white. thanks for the link to car-part.com, i think i might have found one through that site from "Brim Imports" in ohio. im going to call them tomorrow.
i have an aftermarket fender on my car now but the paint just doesnt match exactly.. plus when you open the hood its completely obvious the fender is aftermarket because the top of the fender looks completely different. i got it from partmartone on ebay, whatever you do don't buy one pre-painted from them

Go to http://www.jdmshit.com they offer used fenders without sidemarkers for under $100. When I emailed them they told me that they should have a shipment of fenders coming in the beginning of May.
You want the cheapest place? http://www.certi-fit.com
Call them. They are by far, the cheapest place I know of...And it's pretty damn close to OEM. However, they don't deliver, you have to pick up.. I think it's like, 32 bux for a fender.
