My hatchback trunk shocks went out and i was wondering how much do they cost from honda and are they expansive????

well they expand when you open your hatch glass, so yes.

what are those shocks called i keep searchin but can't find anything

 

they are lift supports you can pick them up @ a local parts store for around $10-20 bucks each

 

i got two at my local junk yard for 10 dollars for both

 

paid $23 for a set of struts for the volvo wagon at kragens..a easy install after a lump on the back of the head

 

Yes they are really expensive... I went to the dealer because both of mine went out and they wanted like 60-70 dollars for the whole shock and everything. Instead i bought a whole window and struts off a fellow h-tech memeber for 50 bucks.

 

Hell, just replaced mine today....2 Brand New Hatch struts for $26...not expensive at all.

 

REplace em with TEINS!!! Damper adjustability on the hatch rocks!!

My damn honda dealer must have tried to shaft me.. everything there cost an arm and a leg!

they do that.
Honda parts from the dealer and rarely (for me) cheap. Except my friend works and he hooks it up...

 

Yeah the dealer seems expensive. Our wholesale isn't close to what it is with other makes dealers we deal with.
