Installed the Delta 260 cam this weekend. D16A6
Definately good bang for the buck. The alleged spec's for this cam are 260/260 duration and .400"/.400" lift. I never really got a clear answer from Delta on the exact specs. They are rather hush-hush it seems on giving out their specs. Anyways, the cam feels very strong on the top end, with a powerband of 4,500 to 7,500rpm.
The idle is chunky and I would not recommend this for a daily driver. You have to raise the idle to about 1,000-1,100 to keep in from wandering. If you set the idle much lower than this, the car my die when coming to a stop.

did they tell you that the 260 cam was just a little different from stock...basically a stock replacement? cause thats what the guy told me, but comparing the given specs to the other avaliable cams shows that the 260 is about the same as eveyone elses mid cam. the 272 seems more like a race cam.
do you notice any loss in low end? i installed my cam like a month ago and it took me a whole day to get it to idle...but thats cause i ported the head, put a y8 manifold on and am using a b18a TB. i havent even started it since then but i think i got my idle to around 850 rpm. so there still may be more ajustment in there for you.
i also measured the lift of the cam...its .400" exact when you multiply it by the intake and exhaust rocker arm ratios...i didn't have any way to measure the duration though, or the patience.

They did claim that the 260 was a "street grind" and that it works well with the factory ECU. I guess works well is a relative term. I knew from past cams what to expect of a cam with this profile.
As for bottom end, it's tough to say if I lost any, since I don't have much to begin with. I have a 4-1 header and a short, side out exhaust, so my power band always was over 4,000.

So I can order one for that cheap? I want one. Where do I get it, what # do I call?!
Do they just regrind the stock one or is it a new billet cam?

i installed the exospeed race cam in my car 2 days ago, its a beast on the top end, idle is about 1200. Im still sporting the stock intake and exhaust so there is tons of potential that i haven't tapped yet. from 4000-7200 its impressive, as impressive as a choked out motor can be.
No dyno yet. I'm planning to run a stand alone fuel computer real soon, so I probably won't dyno it until that's done. As for the strip, its a roadrace and autocross car, I have never drag raced it.
