a stupid 1/4 mile question...
I talked to this gsr owner who just got out of high school claims that he can run a 15.2 stock and can beat a type r stock i was just wondering if this is possible thanx alot..peace
a stock r is very debateably....i have seen a 14.6 and i have seen a 15.1
so its hard to say about that...
i've never seen a stock GSR under 15.5 though...

A 94-95 GSR TWO DOOR STOCK WILL BEAT A 98+ INTEGRA R STOCK, BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHOS DRIVING AND MANY OTHER VARIABLES. IF ITS A 96+ GSR THEN THERES NO WAY IT WILL BEAT A TYPE-R.
I got my 98 4 door to 15.44 with suspension and Iceman.
The 1/4 times with the R are so scattered is because of the drivers, I think. Most people that buy R's are getting them for their road handling ability and only drag "just to see what I can do", thus the almost random time slips!

Is it "POSSIBLE"?
Yes.
Is it likely?
No.
ITR bone stock times could be anything from mid 14s to mid 15s. A GSR could be anywhere from low 15s to high 15s.
It would depend on how the car was broken in, DRIVER, traction, atmospheric conditions, etc.

I watched someone in a 95 GSR pull consecutive 14.4-14.7's in Cincinnati... it's funny how long everyone on Superhonda debated the trueness of it... but I watched him do it several times. He had an AEM intake...
that's it.
Fact of the matter... he was blessed with a strong engine... and he was a hell of a driver. One of the other guys we went with that night, had a 97 TypeR... he couldn't get out of the 15's.
Question it all you want... but there are 2 factors, no 2 cars are built the same. And no 2 people drive the same.
that's it.

damn, i thought my gsr was fast...
are you sure he didn't have slicks or drag radials?
when I get my drag radials and it cools down here I'm pretty sure i'll run mid 14's
