Positive battery terminal is almost touching my CAI

Hey all, B16a was installed last week and the positive battery terminal is almost touching the AEM CAI. The CAI is made of aluminum and thus conducts electricity, plus the battery isn't bolted down so it moves around a little. Right now the terminal is taped up but its already starting to come off.
So I was thinking about my options and here's what I came up with: Should reverse the battery's position to move the positive terminal away from the CAI? Or should I buy a new battery with a shorter height so that it won't rub on the CAI? Or, and I would imagine this is the most obvious choice, can I simply buy a plastic cover piece for the positive terminal and thus rid my self of the possible danger?
I really don't want my car catching on fire after finally swapping in the B16!
btw - where can I buy one these? Autozone? NAPA?

I'd rather not. I know alot of people have B16's with AEM CAI's (mine is for the '91 Si) and they have kept the battery up front in the engine bay. What are you guys doing to solve this? I did a search for B16 pics and it said there were no results!! hahaha
what are your reasons for not wanting to relocate it...and another option is...if u care how it looks then do do it...but u could tape electical tape around that part of the intake tube...thats what i would do but thats cuz i dont care what it looks like...u might...just an option

Hmm, I was hoping for some, "Just buy a plastic cover thingy for your + terminal!

Yes, and decrease performance
On my battery terminal, I have the stock little red cover that protects the intake from the battery terminal, and I'm not too worried about it.

Mine touched the intake a few million times before I realized it... You can believe the damage it did without catching on fire! This all happened about 3 years ago. It literally melted a hole through the shock tower. The hole is small, but it burnt right through it. It also melted the bolt that held the intake in. The strange thing is that my battery was bolted in and didn't touch when parked.
I vote for putting something plastic inbetween, or going and buying the battery that is the same exact size, but has the termainals reversed... then you can turn it around and the positive is still on the correct side. They make a battery like that. Exactly the same case, but with the positive and negative reversed. I don't know what yours looks like, but on mine, that would have put the terminal out of harms way by about 2 inches.

Can you imagine how much a stock CRX assembly wold choke a B-series engine, even with a panel filter?
If the problem worries you so much, just drop some plastic between the 2.

the battery I have is the same size as the stock one except the terminals are on the opposte stide of the battery...
I don't even have a AEM CAI, I have a Iceman and its on a buddy's car.
Look for one of those..

what im trying to say is dont waste your money on a intake system. if you want 4 to 5 horse power than do it. now if your motor was fully built and ported and polished and honed then get a system, but on a stock motor its useless.
Just put the plastic terminal cover on it and forget about it. That's what I have on my car, and it's never touched. I'd say the plastic cover is the best bang for the buck.
on my girlfriends A6 w/cai i put a piece of velcro (sp?) that had a sticky backing onto the intake on the spot that was touching the battery terminal, and i also covered the battery terminal connection/post with a piece of rubbery plastic. works fine.

I just relocated my battery to the trunk and installed a 99-00 Civic Si intake. I highly recommend doing this as the new intake sounds and feels much better than the CRX Si AEM intake I was using.
