Default Gas Mileage

I was just wondering what kind of gas mileage everyone gets, and how some mods affect that gas mileage. My car's pretty much stock, and I usually get 25-27mpg on the highway, and 20-22mpg around town. My best gas mileage was once 30mpg on the highway, don't know how, and my worst was 17mpg around town. I think I got into the VTEC too much on that tank, hehe. How's everyone else do?

I typically (in my '95 GS-R) get anywhere from 32mpg with a lot of freeway driving or a low of 28mpg if I'm keeping it at redline a lot. I just added a SuperTrapp a couple weeks and the car has been hitting 33mpg so far with a moderate amount of high revs...

I average about 29 mpg in my 99 GS. No motor mods. My highest was about 33 and lowest was 25...

I'm about where you are with my GS-R, but I can get up to 32 MPG if I drive a lot of highway miles. The low in-town gas mileage still bothers me tho. With the exception of a new PCV valve, all of the other stuff is no more than 5k miles old...ie: cap, rotor, fuel filter, spark plugs.

The only engine mod I have is a K&N RU-3130 and the snorkel removed to prevent the intake from sucking air directly from the enginebay.

Don't know about the highway (my POS clutch prevents me from going out of town ), but I get 29 mpg in town because I drive *really* nice. My car is a 94 GS-R with a K&N and my PS belt removed.

87 Octane. I/H/E 31-33 avg. I've hit 35 on one tank...
And it doesn't seem to matter if I'm ripping through the gears or trolling down the road.

Hmmm I really do like the LS tranny... I was only getting 33-35 in my CRX HF with a D16 VTEC engine...

Your gas mileage is fine. I've gotten between about 20 and 35 depending on how I drive. I'm only running a few mild mods now and I havn't seen any difference in gas mileage.

I average 25-27 mpg. Best ever was right at 35mpg (when it was an auto too!)..main factor in highway MPG is speed limits, the higher the better (55mph will kill your mpg while 70-75 will significantly boost it). But 75 mph still won't get you 35mpg... 75mph is only the beginning of fuel effeciency... Which you'll know when you've gone over 420 miles on a single tank...

1992 Integra GS-R
GS-R #817
175k miles
Koni Yellows
16' ATP Spa's
205/45ZR16 Kumho Supra ECSTA
175k miles...has that engine been totally torn down and rebuilt any time in its history? I bet if you did that, you'd see your mileage go up.
