does it just bolt right in place? or does it take some modification?

When you say suspension do you mean just springs and shocks or do you mean everything like the upper control arms, lower control arms, forks, radius rods and knuckles. If you mean the later, I don’t think a 5th gen will just bolt up, especially the front Type SH suspension since it is even more different.

Well **** why didn't you say so in the beginning if that is all you were wanting to do All you will need to do is replace the hubs and rotors to do a 5 lug onversion if you already have a 4th gen VTEC. Now if you have a SI or S 4th gen Prelude it will take some custom work likely.

Why custom work on a 92-96 Si or S. The only difference in the S, SI and Vtec, besides the motor is the front brakes, Vtec bigger rotor and caliper. As far as the suspension is concerned.

Well I am no expert on 4th gens but if you wanted to use the 5th gen hubs and rotors and if you wanted to get the 5th gen brake calipers to mount to your 4th gen SI knuckle it would likely take a custom caliper mounting braket like AEM uses on their Big Brake kit. Maybe you could find smaller 5 lug rotors from another car that would let you keep your 4th gen calipers.

after installing 4th gen and 5th gen springs, I can tell you the suspension is not completely interchangeable.

the upper control arm in the front bolts to the frame in a completely different way. (in a very annoying way on the 5th gen)

you should be able to do it with just the vtec calipers. no need for a custom bracket
