You have made the same mistake I did one month ago.
I busted the passenger side enlink the same way and posted on this board but no one responded.
Anyways, I found this site after the damage was done. Go to pic #4 it shows that you should stick a hex key in the middle
and hold it in place when turning the nut.

PS- as for parts might be cheaper at salvage yard ?
