So before they say you can still have a free membership that hosts 10 pics, but now you can't use the pics and post them.

Not only do I have to get junk email, I have to read yours too j/k Yea a lot of companies are starting to charge fotr stuff now it sux. i like free stuff

 

haha. Well, if they have advertisements I don't understand why they're charging for service.

 

Greediness

 

I know it sucks, but its the reality of the internet. The days of "FREE" are numbered. Banner ads dont pay the bills, so charging is the next step. If they wanna survive, they gotta figure out a way to make cash. Whoever said greediness, I dont think thats the case, most of these companies are just barely surviving, and peoples jobs are at stake.

 

Some companies are greedy some are not. I think Yahoo!, while much bigger is great. Everything is free with Yahoo! but a few things. Extra mailbox storage, real-time stock quotes, probably some other stuff, overall, I take forgranted what Yahoo! offers.....

Sackdz, Yahoo is a *very* good example. I agree. I take Yahoo for granted as well.

 

Yeah, they said they were discontinuing free service a couple of months ago. So I started transferring my pics to Zing.com, the next best photo hosting site, and last week got an e-mail that they are shutting down completely on July 2. Good thing I never finished transferring all my photos. So anybody have any suggestions for the next best free photo hosting site? Ofoto looks like the next best option, but their resolution sucks (you'd think a company owned by Kodak would have better quality).
