so, seeing as i've taken apart my door and pulled that seal down about 2-3 times now, it's cracked and ripped all over the place and basically falling apart. so, i've decided to cut myself new seals (instead of paying ~$20ea for new ones).

my question is, what's the best adhesive to go with? what's there is not your typical adhesive. it's some sort of rubbery sticky stuff. like that gum stuff used to hang posters on walls (can't think of the right name).

3M makes a spray on adhesive. They sell it at Home-Depot

 

isn't that thin and liquid-like though? i need something thick and rubbery (please refrain from the jokes.. )

 

I've personally used it on many occasions. It's semi-liquid like. But not watery. It's very good stuff.Works good.

 

Just look for any sort of adhesive that comes in a caulk tube that will not harden over time, something that stays flexible.
