Tein Type SS
I'm trying to find a decent price on the Tein Type SS coilovers for the EP3. Can anyone point me to a better price than $1200? Are there any group buys going on right now? Thanks.

I've found something kind of weird. While looking at Tein's website they dont list the EP3 with the SS setup on the Basic and Flex. Some of the other sites I've looked at have them listed with part number DSA22-KUSS2 which is for the EM2 and ES1 (01+ Civic coupe and sedan). Will these fit or is it just false advertising?
Also, is there anyone here currently running Tein coilovers on there EP3? Is it possible to run the DC5 SS on our cars? For the money I'd really like to make sure that I'm doing the right thing so any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I read the review over there ( http://ephatch.com/forum/showt...10077 ). Has anyone done the 2mm enlargement?
PM Todd00, he has the Tein Type Flex on his EP3. There are 3 or 4 members on EPhatch who also have that coilover kit. As for the basic, I'm not sure, haven't read anything on them yet.
I bought the Type SS (part # DSA22-KUSS2) tonight. After reading that the EP3 specific coilover wouldn't be released until October I went ahead with the 01+ coupe/sedan units. The only thing I don't like is the fact that you have to modify the holes at the bottom of the strut by 2mm to fit the EP control arm. Seems simple enough to modify though, so I'm not really worried. The SS has 16 different dampening settings and 2.7 and 3.8 inches (f/r respectively) of height adjustibility. They don't come with the upper pillow mounts, but I don't track the car enough to really worry about this. The Type SS also don't allow the use of the EDFC, but in the EP it isn't even really needed because the strut towers are easily accessible both front and rear. I just couldn't justify spending the extra $600-$700 for these options on the Flex and the Basics were just too close in price to not jump up to the SS. I'll give a complete photo install of these coilovers when they come in and a full review once they're installed.
