Would a DVD In Dash Player w/ a 6.5 or 7 inch LCD fit into a 94-01 Integra?
I mean would it clear the climate controls when it flips out? Anybody have any pics of a LCD screen setup in their Integra? Thanks in advance.
The majority of the fold out monitors will block the sliders for the heater and fan, even if it is mounted in the lower pocket. Even if it sits in the lower pocket, it will look funny because you can't see the bottom of the unit where you stick the CD/DVD into it. G3 Integras suck for this reason and all the headunit manfacturers suck too because no one thinks there is a market for a non motorized. 2DIN monitor, like the old Eclipse 7301.
I heard that the 7002 Eclipse will fit into an integra perfectly.
Do any other companies make one similar to this?

As far as I've discovered, you need to build the dash out a bit to put any screen into an 94-01. Every screen I've installed hits the climate controls. You might be better off with something like the eclipse 7301 (which I'm not sure if they make any more) which is a double din screen/cd/tape. they look dope too....
I never realized the AC vents are the exact size of a single DIN. So what do you have in the radio slots? So your AC just comes out of the side vents now??

The Vents are way smaller then the screen is. I had to cut out all the vents and mold a new piece in order for the screen to fit. I don't have AC anymore.
I had a pionner 7 inch screen mounted in my 95 integra...what I did was get the standard kit an mounted it upside down so the actuall deck sits on the bottom and the screen opened up right under the ac controls and gave the dash a nice flush look. WHen it was turned off it looked stock.....the only problem is that you will have to tail strp the radio in the back right to the fram eof the car to keep in in nice and solid and to keep thiefs from ripping it out.
Heres my car with the Eclipse 7002. I got rid of it for the 7301 and then finally got rid of that for the Premier P9. I manage a stereo shop

Yea, they are the 3 way components. 6.5 in mid bass, 5.25 drivers, and tweets. They are for sale. The kickpanels (reinforced, coated and strengthened) are also for sale.
I think that eclipse deck is one of the only ones that fit because today I'm trying to install a pioneer deck with lcd...and the screen hits the climate control...so I'm doing a little custom work right now and hopefully it will fit. I will post pictures later.
you make it seem like a big deal.. only panzy's need a/c hahaha
and besides.. you can always fold the screen in again..

heres mine in my 91 integra.. dont know if it'll help but you'll get the idea. mine blocks the climate controls but i usually keep it on the vents that blow in ur face, and outside air.. then i have the ***** to turn for fan speed and temp..

also, a little known trick with alpine screens. Hold the OPEN/CLOSE button in, and the screen will actually come out of the DIN housing even farther. This gives you an extra 2 inches of clearence behind the unit. When the unit closes, it flips down to about 45 degrees, then the screen slides in some, then the screen flips down flat and slides in the entire way. pretty nice feature

if it's a decently new one it will do it. Also, if it is extended out, just press and hold the OPEN/CLOSE button again and it will bring it back to the normal position.
