Default Possible tranny issue?

I just put my ZC in with ZC tranny. It is an 88 and I used the 88 CRX Si clutch kit (bearing, pressure plate, etc...). Well you know that lever on the tranny that the clutch cable attaches to, well that only has about an inch of travel. I can't get my tranny cable to reach down far enough to still attach to that bracket that sort of grounds it. Is there something wrong with what I did or is it always like that with a new pressure plate?

loosen all the cable metal brackets.... just take the cable straight to the arm and then after that look on how to make it fit.... that arm goes up , but not even with ur leg power u can move it.... the pressure plate its very strong.... and keeps it down

the lever shouldnt have much travel at all, like he said....youd have to be pretty damn strong to move it, or something would have to be pretty damn wrong.....

OMG you guy I'm so relieved to hear this. I had to replace the clutch 2 times because I apparently got the 20 spline clutch and then found I had the 21 spline tranny. It was a nighmare. Glad to hear I can fix this easy. Thanks.
