What years was the Type R made in?

I've been looking at upgrading to an ITR and I was just curious as to what years it was produced and what you would suggest buying.

97, 98, 00, 01

97-98's are the best though

or are you just being biased

i thought the 00-01's had better cams...

They were technically made in 96, 97, 99, 00.

I'm on a limited budget here and I just found a 2000 Type R with 30k on it for 16k. Is this a good deal or is the dealer ship bending me over?
