yet another nOOb Q???
how do you remove the rear-view mirror from eg's/del sol's? i got this nasty sun fade on it and would like to repaint it. TIA!

There is a metal bracket that gets glued onto the windshield. I believe that if you slide the mirror upwards, it should come off. I've never tried though.
yeah, its going to be tricky, and if you do it worng it will wobble alot like it does on my girlfriends car....really annmoying when you have to adjust it or hit a hard bump.....why not just get some touch up paint and a fat brush, and paint it that way, just be careful and go slow.....no ones really going to see it anyway...

i thought del sol's and 92-95 civic have the same windshield-mounted rearview mirror? please correct me if i am wrong.

yeah i thought about that, but was afraid of leaving brush stokes on the mirror... i guess it's back to the "drawing boards"
