basically it is a 80 lb computer that compinsates for understeer by making the outside turning wheel spin faster to "pull" the front end through tight turns

it is actually active torque transfer system but yeah basically

quoted from the 2001 honda prelude info flyer thingy ::
"A Type SH exclusive, the Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS) transfers more power to the outside front wheel while cornering. This helps reduce any understeer for suberb handling."

sounds like 80lbs of crap to me.... dude told me that the SH swap would come with that.. and that it would just be worthless! anyway i can get the motor minus that thing?

Thats why the SH's are the slowest of all VTEC preludes. Better off with an LSD

yes "Active Torque Transfer System" ... those who have tried it before will know that it DOES work ... try a base prelude, then try an SH around some quick turns at the track and tell me it's a useless 80 lbs upgrade!! ... the car is already a boat, what's another 80 lbs ... if you are worried about weight reduction, don't buy a prelude!!! ... so what i'm saying is, an SH is much better than a base model during turning, but will be slower in straight lines because of the added weight ... but if you want a go faster in a straight line, what are you doing with a 3000 lb, 4 cylinder, FF car in the first place??

Slowest....besides SS, which was already mentioned.

However, they are the best handling...take your pick

You guys make it seem like the extra 80lbs from the atts is godly slower in terms of speed in straight line compared to a base model. 80lbs , whoopdeedoo it ain't going to make that much of a difference

If this argument was being held in tech there would be more opinions. Everyone who is fighting on the SH side, is, alas, a SH owner. I'm not saying they're total turds but 5th gens are heavy right off the bat, plus that 80 extra lbs . What is the SS btw?
