The stock motor in a USDM 1989 Civic LX sedan is a D15A right? Please correct me if wrong...

It's the same as the dx ,motor(d15b2) i have a 88 dx, and i bought a lx head from HAP, and it works fine.

 

ty I gotta replace the head gasket and get the valves cleaned. I just put some racing spark plugs and plug wiring and just wrapped the headers. I am not going for racing performance at all just more drivability i will probably DIY a CAI and put a cleaner exhaust. I just want this bitch to breathe good!

hmm you could use a B18A non vtec wiring harness and other B18A parts for that huh? not bad i will look into that more i think i could certainly scrounge up all that and it would be low buck...
