I have a 98 civic and am getting ready to change over to the 99-00 civic front. I have burnt my eyes out trying to read older posts, and look at oem replacement diagrams.

This is what I have:

1. radiator support, need it or not, I have it
2. Left and Right front fenders
3. Front bumper
4. Hood

Now this is what i dont have:

1. 99-00 Headlights
2. Bumper Support
3. Energy absorber-foam
4. and these so called "Stiffeners"

I dont know what these are!

I was reminded by someone that I need the rubber lining on the edge of the hood, and the stiffners, whatelse do I need to make this conversion.. right?

Also, I have a nice OEM replacement front bumper, I also have the factory 99-00 fog lights, will the installation be the same? do these bumpers have the provisions for the oem fogs???

there are two things i see that you forgot. an SI or CTR lip. and the grille assembly. your 98 grille won't work

 

yeah but what about the stiffeners and such? There has to be more back there!

 

NFC about the "stiffeners".

Never heard about them before.

As far as the stiffers are concerned, look at this diagram... They are #6 and #11.

As far as the front bumper + fog lights. The 99/00 front bumpers are "fog light ready". Here are the installation instructions...

Those just hold the headlights up in place. I'll be fixing my bro's 99 front, If I remember, I'll take some pics. for you.

 

I don't think you need the new bumper support and energy absorbtion foam. I think your stock ones will work.

 

i did the 99-00 conversion my my 97 hatch. only thing i bought were:

-fenders
-bumper
-hood
-headlights

you need to do some customization on the front members for perfect fitment. you really dont need the radiator support nor the foam thing, just use the stock foam; they're the same ****. i never put one in
