Anyone upgrade thier engine mounts? Who makes them?
I checked both http://www.energysuspension.com and http://www.prothane.com and don't see 5th gen accords listed with engine mounts. I need new ones and figured I should get beefier ones than stock. Any suggestions?
Energy Suspension does make them; from page two of the application guide under Honda:

Yea Energy Sus. should have more mounts for 5th gen Accords then 4th gen.
Because I have the front torque mount from Energy and the Rear from Prothane. But just to warn you..... its a rumbling feeling after those mounts are in there, makes the engine rattle your *****...LoL

yup, $24.95 for the front and rear motor mount inserts.

I have a question for those of you with these motor mount inserts or another form of stiffer motor mounts. By adding both of these inserts, how much vibration is added to the cabin? If I only wanted to add one of the inserts, which would be the most beneficial, the front or rear? With only one insert in place how much vibration is felt in the cabin? Also, how hard are they to install with the motor in the car? Mainly, how hard is it to install the rear insert? The front doesn't seem to be too hard, or am I wrong? Thanks

I am just using the front also cause energy sent me only the front... at the time they said they did not make a rear insert yet.
There is not that much I have it and the steering wheel tends to shake a little more but not as bad as my friends accord that has both the front and the rear his whole dash shakes.

Yeah.... my whole dash shakes like a Muths because of the rear insert.... front isn't that bad but rear gets your Liver shakin'.
Anyways.... for install front torque mount is easy as pie, now rear thats gonna be a B*^ch, it took me about 30-45min on a lift to do it and mind this is on a 4th gen... so good luck on the install

in my experiance you should get the front motor mount (a.k.a torque mount) by changing this mount you should see alot more torque gain and hp gain then changing the rear. the reason you should see more gain by changing the front then the rear is the rear does not move that much because it has the tranny mounts helping the rear of the engine keep still. ones you move to the front on the engiine you only got that one mount from keeping the engine from moving. So if all your other mounts are in good condition change the front, then get the rear, then the side mounts.
Does anyone know if there is much difference in the mounts for the 6th gen as too the 4th and 5th. I filled my front with poly and it did a good job but now im thinking of ordering the front and rear from the 5th gen adn doing some modifications to make it work for me
When you get the prothane ones, the rear mount it comes with was designed for the the non-ABS model. So if your car has ABS your not going to be able to use the mount insert.

I'll have to check into that. I just bought a set from The Accord Store, thats why I was asking about vibration and which mount is the best to do. Everyone seems to like the front mount the best; the front mount adds less vibration than the rear; and the rear may not fit my EX. Looks like I may have no choice but to only do the front. Thanks

I filled all mine with window weld like here:
http://importnut.net/motormount.htm
One tube fills all four mounts. As far as I know the inserts are only for front and rear (I wanted all four filled).
Vibrates the car more, but well worth it. Launches are instantaneous and takes all the slop out of the stock mounts.

I have seen the energy ones for manual 4th gens only. What is the difference between the front motor mount on a automatic vs manual car? I would like to have one of these on my car. When I called energy, they said there was no way to make it work.
