Does acura keep track of all the type R's?
I know that with some limited edition cars, the manufacturer keeps track of who owns them and whether they still exist etc etc... Does acura have such a thing? And when looking to buy one, whats the best way to search for any known problems, accidents associated with that specific car?

presumably honda has numbers for total ITR production etc, but they aren't telling anyone.
As for buying a used vehicle, a carfax report (www.carfax.com) will yeild you answers usually, for a small fee.
