i cant see it either but i think they are referring to the bar that mounts to the 4 seatbelt locations.... aka the head impailer.

They sure are. I wonder how much that decreases the already shitty rear visibility of an EK? I guess that doesn't cross anybody's mind as long as they can swing their *** around those city blocks a couple mph faster.

my concern with this bar is that it mounts to your shoulder harness mounting location and sits about 6 inches from your head when in the driver and passenger seat, if you get in any type of accident where the cars crumple zones come into play, the bars will either break the mounting bolts for you seatbelts
or snap in half and IMPAIL your head
either way you die. but you did take that offramp 2mph faster
EDIT: the picture justcame up, it's not the bar i was thinking of, these dont seem to have any safety concerns except for the visibilty out the rear, cant have rear passengers though, i'll find a picture of the bars i was talking about, they are seriously retarded.

Are you talking about the same bar? The "Next" bar sits in the hatch area of the car, not 6 inches from the drivers head.

I believe that its mounted to the REAR passenger shoulder harness mounting location,
so the proximity to the FRONT passenger from the bar will be more than 6 inches.
Probably not safe to have rear passengers, but most front occupants should be okay . . .
Unless you are Yao Ming sized
or bar broke like you described.

i cant find a pic of the bar i was talking about, it was for an ek and it has 4 mounting points( the 4 shoulder harness bolts, front and rear), basically it spanned the c-pillars at the rear seatbelt mounting points, just like any regular c-pillar bar, but then there was another bar that went from the rear seatbelt harness mount to the front seatbelt harness mount, across the hatch windows.... you had to unbolt your front seatbelt to mount the bar and then bolt it back up, so like i said if you get in a severe accident the bar would either break in half and stab you, or it would break the mounting bolts for the drivers and front passengers shoulder harness... someone has to know which bar i am talking about.
these miracle bars look like they are strong though, and like everyone is saying they would not present any danger to passengers in the front of the car, i got a red x when i posted at first.

Ok, I got ya Euclid, I have a pic from a recent event. This bar is being offered now by JDMhondaparts, but it was originally designed by Top Fuel for EK's...
exactly, if you got rearended, sideswiped, or in a head-on collision fast enough to compress the structure of the car, that bar would have no choice but to give/break somewhere.... sorry if someone has this bar and i am insulting them, but take it off!
i sort of remember the original thread about this bar awhile back too, people were saying that it was ok to leave the rear seats in and have passengers in the back because the main c-pillar bar curves up to the headliner like that. a rear passenger would crack their head open like a watermelon if it hit that bar going across the side glass... imho this whole concept is just really ******* stupid.... and im sorry if i hijacked this thread, i had to explain myself, damn red x's
