Default How an Apex'i Vafc/Safc works?

im using a vafc for fuel control on my turbo setup, & i was curious as to exactly how it works.

i know the afc taps onto the:
Throttle position sensor (TPS)
Manifold absolure pressure sensor (map)
vtec signal (vafc only)

i cant remember what other signal wires are used...

which signal does the afc modify so the ecu will add or remove fuel? & what other effects are caused.

I dont know if this is accurate, but what i understand so far is that the AFC modifies the MAP signal going to the ecu. when the ecu see's a lower map voltage, it removes fuel from the system...but i've also heard that in doing so, the ecu advanced ignition FAR...
