Ok well i don't know what happend but my stereo doesn't work anymore. It powerd up just fine last night but now it won't do anything at all just started opening by itself. The face is suppose to flip down. It does that real slow and then stops. Doesn't do anything else. Now it is just frozen. Like it doesn't even power. I put my stock one back in and it powers just fine, but this one doesn't do anything. Its driving me nuts.

 

Check for shortages on the power cable, have you changed any of the wiring recently or did it just stop for no reason?

 

i changed a cable to for the remote...i had to make a switch for it and ti shorted out recently but i changed all of that. Now it doesn't work. I believe the power cable is fine also because last night it started up, but now it doesn't.

 

It won't be a short if it is working at all. if it was a short there would be smoke or you would most likely blow fuses. Its possible that when you shorted it out you fried something else in there. in that case its cheaper to buy a new one in most cases. It sounds like something internal defianately especially if it is slow when it actually does power up.
