Default What type of front camber kit for 93 integra?

I noticed there are three types...

The sliding upper ball joint type seams the most efficient IMO, although, i cannot find one for the 2g integra.

What are my options on a budget?

Thanks

If you want to wait a few months i'm in the process of designing a set.

I decided my first prototype pieces are going to be for the 2g integra since thats what i have and its easier to test.

All of my research and cost analysis is done, and i'm nearly done with the CAD model for the part.

Next step is to rapid prototype with a laser sintering machine for fitment, modify if necessary, then machine it out of metal for testing.

Can you suggest anything to get me by?

I just bought the car and the tires are shot. I will be buying another set of tires, i would like to get a decent sticky set. I will be daily driving it, so i really would like to fix the camber now so i dont wear out a set of tires.

I would be interested in buying your setup when you release it, is it a adj. upper ball joint setup?

Thanks
Chris

I'll post pics up tomorrow or the next day with the models.

Whats your camber at now? How bad is it? Toe will eat tires faster than lots of camber.

I didnt' gauge it, but its bad.

My toe is OK. My camber is definitely really bad.

The car has tokico blue shocks and weapon-r adjustable springs

Should that setup handle half decent?

Have you check it? When you change camber you also change toe. Have an alignment shop check out out. A much cheaper solution is that if you have too much camber (like more than -2 degrees) just raise the car up some and set the toe to zero. Tire wear issues should be solved then.

Will it handle like shiot?

I'm guessing the shocks have a optimal threshold in which they are meant to operate...any idea what this threshold would be with the weapon-r coil overs? If i adjust them up to wear my camber is ok, will i see better handling?

If that works out i will just adjust them up and wait for your setup.

No worse than it handles now

Yeah any ride height that doesnt cause the shock to bottom out is good. As long as you keep it off the bumpstops you're ok - and if you're too low to cause excessive camber then you're probably hitting them anyway so some more ride height will be good.

You can get 4-wheel alignments for about $50-$60 - go to a shop thats familiar with ricer-type setups becuase alot of shops will say "its lowered" or "i cant adjust that" and send you packing or try to sell you a bunch of stuff you dont need.

RJ. : what kind of kit will you be designing? Are you replacing the entire ball joint? That'd be quite an undertaking. I'm sure you'll let everyone know when you have finished.

BorderM3: if you can't wait, then look into the Progress kit. It's cheaper than the others (Ingalls) and hasn't broken yet (mine, that is). It is non-adjustable and therefore STS legal, should you be an autocrosser.

Shocks do have an optimal ride height. Simply put, you want to use as much shock travel as is feasible (given that lower ride = lower cg and more camber yada yada). I'd raise the car up to a reasonable height (maybe 1.5" lower than stock) and have the alignment checked at a good shop - try to make an appointment so you can watch them do it and make sure the numbers are good. As RJ pointed out, toe has as great an effect on tire wear as camber, so set it to 0* and as long as the static camber is <2* you should be ok.

How do i tell when i have the coil overs adjusted to 1.5" less than stock?

Thanks

Ultimately i want a nice tight daily driveable car...whats my best bet?

Ditch the weapon-r and get a set of ground controll?
