can you weld an AEM CAI?
I just installed my CAI couple weeks a go. Yesterday,I found out that the bracket that mount too the chassy ripped a big hole on the pipe. Can I just weld them back instead of buying a new one?
Hey that happened to me to. I brought it back to the shop and starting bitching and they gave me a new one right there. I only had it for like a month to. But to answer your ques, yes it can be welded. But you need somebody who has a TIG welder.
I would get some sand paper and clean up the hole. Make is smooth to the touch. Then, get yourself some metal paper and wrap the **** out of it. You dont even need that paper anyway. May look ghetto, but it will work fine. Then spray paint the whole thing one color if you want, just to make it look a little better.
