one of my friends just lost half of his front lip from road debris, i'm not sure what the dealer price on that is but i can only imagine its ridiculous. is there a cheaper place to get the OEM lip, or does anyone make a duplicate? TIA

 

I got my OEM lip from http://www.handa-accessories.com. Yes, the "handa" is spelled correctly. It's actually H and A Accessories. The lip comes painted and will run your buddy about $360 + shipping. It's much cheaper than buying from a dealership, unless you can get them to match/beat the price.

if you're looking for an oem replacement, see if you can contact hardtopguy on the s2ki forum. he usually has good deals, and there are quite a few groupbuys that he does. (usually on hardtops, although he does have front lips as well).

It is made out of POLYURETHANE..not fiberglass...

 

maybe i'm looking at the wrong one, cause the only one i see says fiberglass also it says its 255 + shipping.

Contact Duc, the guys car you see on that pic. He currently has a a bunch of poly ones, I was sure he would post them on the board. That was the old lip, the new lip fits perfectly and is very secure...
