yeah ive done it... on accident lol... funny story, pm me to hear it
anyhow, about the best way to get to this bolt (number 33 in the pic) is with about 5 long extensions, and the wheel off the car... thats the fill bolt
the drain bolt is the one down underneath the car, that doesnt have the line and the banjo bolt connected to it (number 22)
but basically number 22 is easy to get to ... just drain it, put the thing back in...
then jack the car up, put about 5 extensions together coming out of the wheel well and unscrew number 33. Take a funnel and attach a hose of somekind to it, put that hose in the hole you just took the bolt out of fill with 1-1.5 qts of ATF and then but number 33 back in
dont forget to put your wheel back on too
lol

i've heard the same thing, but i knew better as it's clearly stated in the shop manual. it's a self lubricating assembly, much like the transmission.

i dont knwo if that was a typo, but it calls for honda AUTOMATIC transmission fluid, you would probably realize that right about the time you drain it out and its bright red!
and yes it does have fluid,

hate to bring this back up, but if i disconnected the fuse, which is in the engine bay fuse box im assuming ...would the ATF go bad? Is it bad for the atts unit to be sitting there as dead weight, disconnected? I plan to remove it later, but for now I wanted to disconnect the unit. TIA!
