Its alive! The car runs, hours later I fixed the problem
If you saw the other post I just tried to start the car today after a winter buildup but I get a solid CEL and no spark. I took the distributor apart and wasn't getting any voltage, so I took a multimeter to various parts of the system and finally determined that the ground coming from the harness fed into the power for the distributor. I haven't heard of this before so I was hesitant, but I cut the wires and switched and it fired right up!
The wideband is reading right around 11.0 at IDLE, needless to say the plugs are getting pretty drowned. Booz got some pictures he may post up. I have 800 cc injectors and tried first with .42, then .37, then .3 for the injector multiple. I'll probably drop it down to .2 but I'm trying to play with the fuel pressure at the same time. I backed the fuel pressure all the way out to about 25psi with the .3 and it was still puffing black smoke at idle. But, it runs!
I was so excited when I started the car, months and countless hours of working and its finally running.
