Do you just have to widen the hole?

Use a dremel.

i have the VIS c/f hood myself and i used sparco pins. me and the homie used a normal wood drill. i forgot what bit, but the holes we made weren't that big. after we made the initial hole(s), we used a dremel to make it to spec. Here's the steps we took if it'll help :

- we installed the hood and put in the pins on (down to the lowest it can go, cause you need the bases) of the frame, then we put white out on the tip of the pins, then closed the hood over it. (this leaves the first mark on where your gonna drill under the hood).
- we then drilled the holes (don't drill til the top), and made them big enough to fit the hood pin.
- we then put more white out on the pin to make marks on the bottom of the top, through the previous holes. (make sure the bottom holes are big enough to see the marks).
- then we drilled again. (making this the center)
- we aligned the hood pins (centered the hole) and screwed them on and used the dremel to make the hole fit the larger pin opening.
- after that all you then have to do is keep adjusting the pins so that they fit through the hood and close perfectly.

the reason we did this was because (as you know), the integ hood doesn't lay straight, so you'd have to drill into it at an angle. if you figure this out then you could just drill straight through and skip most the steps. We made sure the holes would be perfect, cause after paying $300 for a hood and ruin it before you actually use it, would fukk'n suck. Take your time and don't mess it up. Good luck on the install, it takes some patience.

Also becareful with the drill when you drill through the top. We slipped and the drill got close to the top surface. Glad it didn't!!!
