On the bright side it looks like you still have a good heart to transplant, start the hunt for a new shell.

Emphasis on had . Just kidding, man, I feel your pain. I'm not sure what I'd do if I lost my Civic like that. Were you going too fast? Was it raining or something? I lost control of my car back in December when it was pouring rain and below freezing outside. I was driving 75mph and swerved to avoid a car that merged right in front of me without looking (maybe they didn't see me). I fishtailed left, over corrected and fishtailed right, then overcorrected again and fishtailed left, this time doing a full 180 and hitting the median going backwards. Fortunately, all that fishtailing left and right bought me enough time to slow down from 75mph to about 7 or 8mph when I hit the median. Scratched up the bumper and dented the **** out of that piece of sheetmetal underneath the hatch and above the rear bumper. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

What are you planning to get next?

So what all do you have salvagable for the next car, you are planning on getting another shell right? CRX or Civic?

If you ask me, find a crappy CRX HF for around $1500, looks like engine and suspension are all fine. With about a weeks work you could be driving around in another fast .

i really want an 92-95 civic hatchback or a 96-00 hatch for a good price. if not, i wouldnt mind another 4gen civic.

it wasnt raining, i think it was because of my super slick tires on the rear and the stupid indecisive driver.

ive been looking all over for another car (crx, civic hatches) but they are pretty expensive. im located in los angeles, so if anyone selling a car for a good price. let me know! thanks! everything in the front end is still good. engine runs. i could swap it over to my next car, but i need money for the next car.

i had almost the same thing happen to me, when a mustang that was in front of me got cut off by a lexus gs 300 as he was trying to change lanes. the mustang swerved back in my lane, i lost the rearend and i overcorrected whith the steering only to slam into the driver side door of the mustang. once i hit the stang, i went backwards across four lanes of early morning rush hour traffic and slammed against the wall. the car was a total loss, to this date i still miss my car. the accident happened 3 years ago, and now i have a 88 crx! the car was a 1992 civic si, is good to know you're in good hearth after your accident. but i know from my experience, that you'll miss that car for a long time!

i would like to bring my car back alive..but its gonna cost too much..why might as well just buy another one. i came out of the car with a really sore neck and lower back..weak forearm...and internal bleeding on my right shin..i think i popped a vessel on my leg.. the frames is all bent..not worth fixing..

ya..i dont wanna let my car go in the junkyard. but it cost too much to fix. if im giong to spend that much, why not just buy one with nice body and everything works for the same amount of cost of damage. well, its a donor car, so im parting it out. dont wanna let the stuff rott in the junkyard. i love that car, been through a lot with it. had it for almost 3 years.

yes i did have a scratch from the accident, internal bleeding on my right shin .. i think i popped a vessel or something.

my friend shot the pictures.

Sorry to hear about your mishap... but what condition are your seats in? I have a buddy with an 89 Si that needs some front seats.

that stuff really gets me mad.. cuz I have had the same experience and it really sucks, a blazer ran me off the road and into the curb (not near as serious as yours) - it just seems to make more sense... someone like me who doesn't have full coverage it really can hurt going out and buying a new car for someone elses mistake...

sorry about your car
