Does your b16 not have vtec ? Anyways it sounds nice but I did not hear any vtec kick in so it must not be a b16.

Stock D16A6 with the Gude Racing package. includes

Intake Manifold
Trottle Body
P&P Head / race cam
and a new ECU

Along with the AEM CAI, DC Sports 4-2-1 Headers, and GReddy SP Exhaust.

Emphasis was on almost, I edited my post to show that.

And yes, my B16 most definitely has VTEC

 

There is no VTEC in my car man... This bad boy is all SOHC powaa!!

I think I could beat any 4 g with a B16 swap. not sure though

Well, from the video it looked like your car has some pep for a D-series with only bolt-ons. Are you in the 15's?

You do realize that it's not uncommon for a B16'd 4G to run high 14's with just bolt-ons?

Have fun with your SOHC, man! Just remember, you can go have fun AND get great gas mileage (I looked at your website with the gas mileage chart )!

LOL that is funny yeha I threw that up there just for information I hoped that other people would do it to just to see how our cars compare.

I have not had my car down the track. There are two reasons my car will not do good at the drag strip.. 1 Stock Clutch that is being beaten to death by the motor. 2. Wheels and tires. my 17s aren't good for the strip and my stock 15s just spin... I just can't afford to put more money into it.

I really really love the car.. But I acctually wanna sell it because I can't afford the insurance payments. I hate insurance companies

 

Is the insurance high on the '88-91 Si's? I'm 24 with no tickets or (reported) accidents and my payments are 900/year. I drive a DX (Insurance company doesn't know about the B16!) and I think that I'm getting screwed over!

By the way, if you're wondering how I've managed to get no tickets, it's because I used to drive an '88 Nissan Pickup in high school and a '91 Ford Escort Pony in college. Neither car felt safe over 65mph (the escorts alignment was fucked and I never fixed it because I hated that car!).

Well lets think about this..

You are 24 I am 22
You have no tickets I have a few
You have a DX I have an Si

My insurance payments are like $900 / 6 months

 

Anyone else hate the insurance companies?

oh i do. i just paided $647 for 6 months. thats just liability.

 

yeah mine is just liability with a $500 deductable

 

if you have a deductable then thats full coverage.

 

I forgot I have theft.. just in case but that doesn't add much

OMG I wish... with my truck its almost $3000 every 6 months..

 

That SP sounds pretty damn good, would be even better with tec. Where's tha second gear scratches man?

Acctually the sound that you are hearing is all motor and intake.. You cannot even hear the exhaust in the movie. The GReddy muffler is really quiet. I have been trying for a while to get a new cat because I think that is why you can barely hear the exhaust but it still sounds good.

after our cr-v my civic costs $11.00 a month extra for liability, my insurance won't cover my car full coverage.

 

Wow.... it does sound a lot like a B16. Get some good tires for your 15's and take it to the track!
