I knew of another guy running those cams and he also had contact between his valves/pistons. Is that your motor?? That sucks.

I love the cams. They made the GSR pull like a truck before VTEC.

 

I got the tag for a buddy of mine who had a ITR. I used to kill his a$$ with my 92 CX.

what caused that to happen?

 

We dialed in to much duration. You don't have much room for adjustment. Unfortunately I learned the hard way.

 

Look at the cams in the first pic. The left one is a GSR the right one is a JUN.

The numbers were a little low, so the guy at the dyno tried to dail the cams in a little more. He's done 70 or so car before but, this was the first one with the Jun cams.

 

What do you mean? Did you advance/retard it way too much?

How many degrees, lemme know so that I dont do the same when I tune my Spec B's

 

So what is the ******* warning have to do with JUN cam's it should say Warning tuner that doesnt know WTF he is doing

 

no offense but, i have jun 3 and you should know by looking at the sick *** ramp angle on the vtec lobe that there isnt much play as far as tuning the cams. I even believe that jun recomends the 0,0 setting on the cams.

 

DAMN, who pissed in your Coke? I'm just wanted to warn people not to treat high performance cams like the stock ones. Maybe I should keep it to my self and let more people do the same thing.

 

First off, we (me or the tech who installed the pistons) never moved the cam gears.

If they want 0,0, why sell gears? I think the guy at JUN told him it was OK to do some adjustments on the gears.

**** what JUN or anyone else tells you, leave them at 0.

Man that sucks. I feel for you. However, if you did your research prior to buying or tuning those cams, you would have realized that you can only adjust them +/- 1 deg in either direction before you have contact with the pistons.

You are not the first person this has happened to. I guess some people really like to learn the lesson(s) on their own.

Again, sorry for the misfortune.

 

If you don't know what your talking about shut your **** ie. bad boy I talked to jun and they told me 1, .5 for a car with just the cams and i/h/e. The tuner didn't dial much more than that before the contact. And I would be glad to **** in slowerthanu's coke since he is so bright with years of knowledge but doesn't have a clue about comp. Maybe than he'd shut his ****.
