I NEEd to see how you guys put ur box in ur hatch . i want to a strut bar too. the way i can have a strut bar is if i put my box in my back seat,..but i want[*] rear strut bar[*]box[*]emtpy full rear seats thanxs
I posted this pic in the other thread. I can have a strut bar if i turned my box so the sub faces the back. Like i said in the other thread this pic is over half a years.

I had a similar problem/expectations and this is probably the best solution that I came up with for what you need. You could get a box built to fit into the area behind the wheel well and the rear corner of the hatch. I'm not too sure if you could fit a 12" sub in there but you could put 2 10" subs on either side of the space and you can still have the strut tower bar.
I didn't build the box cos at the time, cos the place that I went to wanted $400 to build the box. So instead I went with a 10" Bazooka Bas tube, I strap it to the strut tower bar and it works great. The only problem that I have with the tube is that itdoes not give me much trunk space. As far as weight negligable and ease of removel 2 straps and it is out.

I have no spare even with my big box. If i ever get a flat i'll pull over and either call a tow truck or call home and have someone bring me my steelies.
