Teg meets tree...glad to be here...
4-16-03 night I lost my baby forever. Hit a tree flush on the right headlight and crumpled it back to the wheel. Barely avoided god knows what...now I have a totaled '99 GSR sitting in my garage...and no insurance money. I'm just kinda in shock and glad to be alive, but wanted to ask for suggestions as to how to get the most cash from the parts. Life is so contrasting...one minute, I'm laughing at how good my Falken's are grabbing...next minute I'm wondering why I didn't see the downgrade of the turn I was on and next thing I know I'm kissing the curb and bouncing...it was all over after that. I'd appreciate any help or just other stories of similar crashes...this is the kind of thing that feels best to talk about with other Teg owners...they know how hard I must have been pushing it to slip...scary **** guys and girls...much Love and peace out.
Glad your ok.
Just post in classified forum about your situation and im sure many people are willing to buy parts off your car.
Good luck.

Glad to hear you are safe man. That's a potentially deadly situation.
On the good hand, it sounds like it may be repairable. The front clip can be found as one complete piece if you know where to look. Often it will come with the suspension parts also - which are probably bent up pretty good.
Good luck with whatever you decide! Be Safe!

glad to hear ur still alive.... wouldn't want another member to have to mourn here on HT.... hopefully ur car can be put back together... if not.. i suggest jus sellin the parts off here or on the parts trader.
Im sorry to hear for your loss and glad you didnt lose anything more than just your car.
Although the teg is fun, many people here idolize it and are fanatical about it.
Sometimes it takes a tragedy to make us appreciate what we have in life. Take this as a life lesson and go from there. You should also realize that your time wasnt up and that you have a life ahead of you to do good.
-Peace

wow....that is bad i personally have always hated my Falkens ......did a very similar thing last year.....Glad to hear that you are alive ... and sorry bout the car!
Let's just say...I'll never take collision off my policy to ease a year's expenses...that was a bad bad move...luckily, since I get the Teg back, I may be able to piece together a nice civic hybrid or something...I'll be back to sliding off tree lined downhill curves in no time :/....joking of course...
I'd like to hear experiences about anyone else having a head-on...I honestly did not see the speedometer at the time of impact, but I was going 85 when I kissed the curb...my guess is 65-55 mph...just incredible how those airbags and seat belts work...that car saved me for sure...and it gives me the shivers to think that i was looking into a racing wheel...yikes
and btw...i'm getting tons of IMs, so if i ignore your first send a second. thanks everyone.
