opinion: 91 hatch werth 800 dollars?
i totaled my eg last week and im trying to get a 91 hatch now...is it a good deal for $800?...my friend got one ...its a dx and only got about 115k on it...prolly gonna swap it out anyways..but is 800 werth it?...thanks jus wanted some opinions
Well, yeah of course that's low mileage all things considered. DX will give you headaches with converting to MPFI from the DPFI. But, if you don't care about that, then go for it.
Any rust on it?

it still requires work... but not much since your going the z6 route and prolly converting to obd1
dpfi is what the stock DX has, slow, no power, never understood why honda did it... mpfi is the biggest mod to that engine you can do, and has to be done on almost every other honda engine out there... if your swapping, you dont have to worry about it

thanks...cuz imma jus go for a d16z6 swap and convert to obd1...but wat if i decide to go like bigger witha b18 or somethin...is it still somthin i need to werri about?...thanks
The DX has DPFI (Dual Point Fuel Injection) and every motor you would consider swapping in (B16, B18, D16a6, D16z6...etc) has MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection).
Basically, the DX only has 2 fuel injectors while the others have 4. You will have to convert if you're swapping in another engine.
Do a search on H-T and you will find all the info you could ever need. Any question you may have has been covered on here numerous times, so use the search to your advantage.
BTW - Good luck with the car if you do purchase it. I just dropped a B16a in my '91 DX and I love it!

Dont listen to this. MPFI coversions are easy. i've done like 4 and they are always really simple. I say get it. $800 for a hatch is cheap.

Well how does it run?? I mean limozeen picked up a 91 DX for $650 that ran with like no rust so if it runs I would say yeah $800 is a good price. As long as the body is clean than its worth $800 all day its just a bonus if it runs though
Yes, you can use the complete(engine bay side/interior side) Si wiring harness. But in my opinion, modifying the DX harness is a better and cheaper option if you already have one. For one thing the DX harness starts out with more connections at the ECU so when you hook up vtec/etc you only need to add one or two wires. Also the interior DX harness is different from an SI. So don't just try and plug the si engine harness into the dx interior as is because it wont work without a fair amount of rewiring.
