yes it really works. i used SeaFoam in a can. poured into a spray bottle with 50/50 solution of water/cleaner and took the revs up to 2500 and continually sprayed the bottle into throttle body opening until completely empty. the car smoked for an hour or so. after some quick freeway passes (3rd gear vtec) the car gradually stopped smoking through the exhaust. the car runs a lot smoother and throttle response is much better. REMEMBER WATER IS A NOT GOOD FOR AN ENGINE. GIVEN IN PROPER AMOUNTS THROUGH THE USE OF A WINDEX BOTTLE AND 50/50 RATIO OF WATER/CLEANER WILL DO NO HARM. see the cleaner breaks down the carbon deposits while the water turns into steam and is pushed out through the exhaust system. i did it to my 94 jdm gsr motor and it runs much smoother.
did I hear water and engine used in the same sentence?
how do you spray it in the throttle body? I thought water is not compressable so if it goes in the cylinder, you're screwed?
