Zeal b6 review.
note
- i have a 97 hatchback, not an ITR (but i post here more often, and mainly ITR owners put suspension to use)
- this is my 3rd autox, 2nd autox with my car. i'm no pro at suspension reviews, just giving my experience with them.
- Carbing front and rear strut bars.
- 15" 5x114.3 Regomaster Evo's w/ Pirelli p700 tires 205/50/15
first of all, thanks to Mike @ IPS for these.
now with the review:
- one word, STIFF. and this is with the "street" set up of 12K front/8K rear. my cars handling feels like my girlfriends 01 prelude, less body roll, and I DO NOT HAVE SWAY BARS! my first autox.. i ran the first two runs with the settings on 6 up front, 5 in the rear.. not much body roll, but pushed a lot since the front was stiffer.
the last two runs i put them on full stiff all around (6), much better, but still pushed a bit. i didn't adjust my fronts this time around because it was a bitch to get my hood open (one of my anti theft devices that i accidentaly made: broke the lever to pop the hood lol).
second autox event, put my fronts at 4, and my rears at 5. i LOVED it! i didn't push that much and i felt very much in control when going through the turns on partial throttle. i left it at this setting the whole day and had exceeded my goals time wise for the course! my friend (SkyeC here on H-T) said i was 3 wheeling a lot of the course lol.
overall, i'm REAL happy with these, and i can only imagine when i get a rear sway bar and i get more experience to control the car better!
can't have a thread without pix right?

yup, get front and rear sway bars, i recently installed a CTR front sway bar assembly on my civic hatch, and it made the world of difference, no body roll up front anymore. the only problem is that i don't have a rear sway yet, so i have to kind of force it to turn, because there is so much understeer, but i love it.
