opinions needed on my motor buildup please!!!!!!
to start i have a jdm b18c with a skunk2 im, itr tb, toda b's, skunk2 chipped p28
i plan to build a bottomend consisting of
b18c block
balanced b18a crank and rods usind arp rod bolts
.25 overbore ctr pistons
gsr head (portflow)
portflow valvetrain
toda b's
this will be ran with hondata
is there anything you would add or that you would take away
thanks

I'm curious why you are going to run the LS crank and rods in the GSR crank. Is it for the extra stroke?
IMO, the extra 1.8mm of stroke would not be worth the extra work to buy it and put it in.

let me reming you that this is a somewhat budget buildup. hehe wish i could get better stuff but i believe this will do me just fine.
i am using the ls guts cause of the stroke yes and to try something different.
i am getting the crank and rods for basically free and the block almost the same.
i know ls/vtecs make good power with a broader band than than a reg. gsr.
i get tired of revving the **** out of my motor. why not make the same if not more power at a lower rpm.
the portflow head will come later i will be using a stock gsr head for the time being
with the toda b's and other goodies i want to build the bottom end then do the head.
any more opinions this is really helpful to me.
i was told by a very reliable source that the ls rods will do just fine and have witnessed them hold up in many applications.
i was wondering on micropolishing is this a necessity?
thanks again
