Ok, I need advice! I am on the verge of getting rid of this boat and starting a new project like a EG or EK, or maybe getting out the whole game for good!!
Here's my setup: 92 Prelude SI 4WS w/ jdm H22 w/ H23 tranny, CAI w/ K&N filter, DC CC headers, test pipe, Apex'I piping to a 2 1/4" Magnaflow muffler, advanced timing 2 degrees, and DIY earthing kit.
A friend of mine has a 95 Integra GSR w/ a short ram intake, DC CC headers, gutted cat, and 2 1/4" pinched bend piping to a Magnaflow muffler.

Ok. Here's the story..
A few weeks ago (BEFORE I GOT MY HEADERS & TESTPIPE), we raced. We both had a good take off but he kept pulling on me and eventually beat me by 2-3 cars.
Today, (w/ HEADERS AND TESTPIPE) we ran again. But this time, he had his STOCK CATBACK & MUFFLER back on. We both had another good take off but he started pulling away once his VTEC kicked in. By 2nd gear, I started pulling on him. At the end of the quarter mile, we were almost neck and neck but he still won.
So why is it that I put my HEADERS and TESTPIPE on, he put his STOCK EXHAUST back on, and I'm still losing?
I mean, I see improvement from the first race. But he's still beating me, but with his stock exhaust back on.
Also, I feel like my low end sucks *****. Is it just me or are most H22's like that? I just did a complete tune up 2 weeks ago. The chassis has about 215k miles on it. Is the fuel pump crapping out? What are some signs of a shitty fuel pump? What other things can be affect the performance of a car that has 215k miles?
Before anyone says it, I consider myself and my friend's driving equal. Please post productive comments/advice only.

His power numbers are too far off from yours. He's lighter, and maybe you need to be tuned. Doesn't the h22 tranny have shorter gearing than the h23?
Hey,
I had the same problem. I had a 92 Prelude Si w/ lots of money in the motor and it ran same as it did w/ just intake, exhaust and drag radials. Try this, next time you race or go to the track, put a high octain gas in your tank (like 110) and turn you distributor ALL the way to advanced (YOU CANT DO THIS ON 93, WILL KNOCK!!) I did this and ran 15.0 and 15.1's on street tires before and on my very next run my car ran a 14.6 @ 95 with the distributor all the way advanced. trust me your car is begging to scream... just give it your TLC
You should be running great.... do this and test it out. you will love it... let me know how it goes. THIS DOES WORK
