Pics of the enclosure. Finally!
Yeah it was getting pretty dirty. It's an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1D.
All in all, I think it turned out pretty good. I learned a lot too which should help me with any other ones I want to do.

How would you go about doing that? I was thinking, maybe you could make a wooden frame that would be contoured to the entire rear hatch area, and cover it with speaker grill cloth or something.
Edit: that would involve alot of cutting though.

Yes. This was the first fiberglassing experience I have had. It turned out pretty good. I think I may have used more than necessary though. Something to keep in mind for next time.
As far as mounting the piece with the black carpet on it is actually 3/4" MDF that I cut in the shape of that particle board cover that is back there. I then attached it to the tub with liquid nails. The whole bottom on the enclosure is covered with carpet padding to prevent squeeks and rattles and help with some road noise too.
The amp is a Soundstream D'artgnan 5.1.

I don't really notice any difference between the MDF enclosure and this one. It sounds nice. I can notice tones and changes in pitch and things in the bass. I have never really heard any other SQ systems so I don't have much to compare it to.
I really like the amp. I think it is plenty to run an entire system. As far as production I don't know but you can still find them on the web. Your best bet is ebay although one only comes on every few months or so.
