Default Integra GS-R Owners!! I need help inside!!

Ok. I have a breather filter on my valve cover, instead of the tube from the AEM Intake nipple.

I heard its illegal and not good for the car, so I wanted to take off the breather filter.

Anyways, I didn't do the Skunk2 IM install. A friend of mine did it, and it seems he connected the Intake nipple hose to some weird device that I don't know of.

What is that thing? Will something bad happen if I take the hose off and put it on the Breather?

What is that hose connected to and what purpose does it serve?

How am I suppose to take the Breather filter off and replace it with the Intake nipple hose when its connected to that weird thing?

Someone help me out. Thanks.

What's that other hose run to? The Hose below the one you highlighted on the part in question?

i can't tell very well.. that little thing you have circled (2nd picture) .. does it have 2 hoses (1 in, 1 out?) coming out of it? that thing doesn't look like it does anything.. one hose is coming from the intake right? where's the other hose going (if there's 2)?

Thats weird man, Id say the hose isnt serving any purpose at all since its SUPPOSED to be hooked onto the valve cover putting air back in the intake. Unless that "box" is giving off air pressure I cant see it doing anything the way it is set up..

See, I have the S2 manifold too and I have no idea what your **** is hooked onto, haha

I have done a couple S2 manifold installs and I have never done that. The nipple always goes back to the valve cover. Always. Not too sure what your friend did.

It looks like that came from elsewhere in your engine bay by the looks of those 2 mounting holes with the circle fade around them.

Damn...

Someone find me a solution.

My ultimate questions is:

Can I just take that hose off and put it on the breather? And leave that opening, open?

Will it mess anything up? What is SUPPOSE to be hooked up to that device, if not the intake nipple hose??

What does the Purge Valve Sylinoid do? And will anything mess up if I just unplug that hose and run it to the breather?

What originally connected to that device, if not the intake hose?

I know next to nothing about your problem, but I do have a suggestion. If you're worried about it and want to switch the hose, put the breather filter on the thing that the hose is hooked up to and connect the hose to the valve cover.

who cares if its illegal. leave the breather on, and get a rubber nipple plug for the unused portion on the intake piping.

stock breather line connect directly to the intake piping. so even if you have a skunk2 intake mani, it shouldnt be any different, you can take it off and connect it directly to your valve cover. If it does go to the charcole cani i just plug it up
