After cleaning all the build-up on the rails of the sunroof I applied some white lithium grease on the rails. I guess while applying the grease I did something because the rear part of the sunroof wont close (go down) what did i do??

 

look over everything again...

specifically at the front where something might be jammed.

 

i dont see anything that can be possibly in the way

thats why i greased mine. but during that process I must have done something cuz the **** wont close any more

 

damn i hope you get this fixed...i was thinkign about doing this but ill hold off till you ge this fixed..keep us informed! and the 2nd pic was really hard for me to tell if that was your paint or your sunroof! very very clean!!!!!

 

it was just supposed to be routine greasing.. but i dont know what the hell I have done. oh thats a misleading pic then.. look at the third pic.. my cars dirty

 

use a little force on the back edge of the sunroof and see what happens

 

yea try applying some force to get it to pop in

 

hmm thats strage i just used that valvoline lubricant **** they gave out at IREV about a year ago and it worked liek a charm...no more shaking of the rear view mirror when opening...hope u got it fixed...heres a free bump for yah!

 

OMG got it closed. Now it dont open

Acura has a service bulletin on sunroofs not closing or opening
it has something to do with the guides
breaking or something
if the car is still under warranty take it to the dealer
but that definitely sounds like your problem

Ive tried doing that but I got to the point where I felt that I was gonna apply to much force and break something.

I think I might have jammed something. I didnt hear anything break though. **** this is pissing me off

 

fudge.. if no one has a solution ill have to goto the dealership that means $$$$

 

Try taking out the headliner and see if you can see anything.

 

the roof slides forward and moves down (angled) at the same time

in the above pictures it looks like it never angled down, it just slid foward.

 

the module that makes the roof work might have burned out.

 

i used WD-40 on mine. works great. hope u get it fixed
