i just got some JDM rear seats this past week.. 200 cash.. the bottom is mint, but the back needs to be redone... all hardware was included, but ive seen decent JDM seats on EBay for over 450.. very, very rare...

its been along time since ive seen a set of seats at a importer.. in all so cal.. i just happened to stuble accross them, your best bet is to get them from some guy at EBay.. even the JDM ****** here in So Cal, don't know where to get them...

keep in mind.. 1st gen B16's, only came in 88-91.. on top of that Japan.. now, for the most part, they only ship over front clips.. even tail lights are rare.. you want back seats? good luck.

yeah no thanks, id just make my own if it comes down to it. Cut appart some hatch seats and make some brackets.

 

but, if you really know whats up, you wont' have shape, and true JDM ******.. lol, like myself, would know.. the upright board you prolly could, but the bottom half is pretty shaped.. doubt youde get away with that. good thought though..

then on the otherhand, youde have to make holes in your quarter panles for seatbelts, if you wanted it to be true.. and trust me... making a hole big enough for that buckle would be tuff. thats why they come 1 peice.

but like me, what im gunna end up doing, is detaching that lift up door (where the belt comes though), and just running that, on a gutted car, those seats don't weigh more than 25 lbs.. i don't really want interior.. not even a headboard. no door pannles, barley even a dash.. lol

My question is why would you want back seats in a rex? If your car was dropped and you loaded 3 or 4 peeps in there you would be riding on the bump stops...? Right??

 

UK? If you could get it, I can get it to the states cheap. Got a buddy stationed in london, I tried to do it while I was there last year for a week, but couldn't pull it off. Junkyard wouldn't ship to his address with my credit card.

 

no one will sit in my back seats.. my car itself will never see a road again.. but it will be ALL JDM, RNR wheels, full SIR conversion... the whole 9.. its JDM... haha, im having it painted right now, and i put the back seats in to just see.. me and a hommie got in, and sat down, and our heads stuck out the rear glass (no hatch) we saw over the sunroof.. its JDM, plain and simple.

 

found my rear seats yesterday...picked it up for cheap from one of my suppliers of jdm parts.....im happy, might sell if i get a good *** offer, other than that...might re-upholster it w/ black tweed

I wanted the rear seats cause i have kid.

About making your own, good point on the seat belt thing, but it would be easier just to run some 4 or 5 point harness'.

 

haha.. yeah, kids would only fit.. but if you did it, and had 5 points just for your kids.. that would be a awsome pic to see... lol, that would be great.. a true racer!

Be careful about having your children in a JDM backseat. Without mounting the seatbelts properly on the frame, they will not be safe in an accident. You can never be too careful when it comes to your own children.

 

well.. if you wanna get technical.. youde prolly have to have it inspected, and i doubt since that car never came with rear seats.. unaproved USDM seatbelts, you could still have back seats, with belts, and get a ticket.. all cuz its unaproved.. thats if the cop KNOWS that car never came with back seats..
