Previous best track run with the GSR was a sucky 15.1 with a LSD (2.3sec 60'), and Intake.
Many trips to the track and I never broke into the 14's. Since then Ive havent done anything to my motor.
Just added an exhaust, and upgraded my suspension.
Today I went to the track. I filled up 1/4 tank with 94 octane and added Octane booster which claimed it was good for 7 points for a total of ~101 octane.
Stripped out my trunk, rear seats and passenger seat, nothing more. At the track I took off my Power Steering belt and brought tools to remove my Cat.
It was a pain in the *** but I was determined to break into the 14's.
My first run was a 14.8, second a 14.7. I was very content as I didnt expect much better than 14.9.
I went 1 more time with a more aggressive launch, and full throttle shifts. That yielded 14.59 at 95.54mph!
Open header would account for at least 3 tenths of a second and 3 or 4 mph faster trap speed. Heres the time slips.
Im 198, my friend is 191. He has a RSX-S with an intake and hondata reflash.

yes stock clutch, stock internals, stock everything else. 61k miles
yeah I know, Ive never messed with the timing. Ive been meaning to but I dont have a timing gun.
My goal has been to show what a GSR can do in stock form without any breathing restrictions.
Now that Ive proven that, its time to get blown...
Edit: Turbo

lol no he wasnt! He knows he can take me on the highway, even with a passenger in his car. But everytime we drag race I take him off the line.
Even tho he would start catching me by the end of the 1320 feet, it wasnt long enough to get in front.
So who do you consider faster? 1/4 mile times or highway?
Oh and there was a dude there I talked to with a ITR with JDM final drive and his best time was 14.3 w/ no interior.
He was convinced I had modded internals! lol

Removal of PS and Open header added 10.2wHP on the Dyno. (Someone on H-T did a dyno)
It makes a noticeable difference.
I'm thinkin about taking my PS off as well... dunno tho.

Ditto that on the timing. Unless your car was pulling timing because of a knock sensor, then you wasted money on the high octane. Plus from what I;ve read, most boosters are misleading and you probably only bumped the octane up to 94.7, not 101.
Good times though, welcome to the 14 second club.

You guys are right about the octane and the timing.
I didnt even think of that. Oh well
Launching by slipping at 3.5k to 4.5k. Ive been condemned by unusually high amount of wheel hop.
Even with slipping I was getting wheel hop at the track but it was minor and controllable.
I didnt even mess with the tire pressure. It was around 30-32 psi front. Tires are Potenza S-03s.
Temp was around 65F. Color is Milano Red w/ ITR wing
