How many people have done this to their ludes? I have a 4th gen and was considering the mod... Do you take the pos batt wire through the fire wall and tear up your interior to get it to the trunk? I have heard some people run the wire under their cars.

i did it. ran the wire though the boot in the fire wall, near your emissaion canister, comes out behind your glove slot. took out the seats, and ran it under the carpet.

is there some kind of battery mounting kit for the trunk? i've been thinking about this for a while too. it shouldn't be much trouble running the wires but are there any problems you encountered along the way?

Summit probably has half a dozen different kits. I ran my wire inside. I have a 5th Gen, but I didn't need to "tear up" anything to hide the wiring. I have a Taylor box which is NHRA regulation. Since I don't drag race, a cheaper box would have done fine.

Yeah, I noticed that Summit has a few selections to choose from. The kits come with everything you need to do the mod. Wire, batt box, bolts to tie it down, etc...

I don't want to rip up my seats just to run the wire. (Unless I get some Momo, Recaro, Sparco race buckets)

yep, mines is back there. i got a alu. battery box fop summit and some 0 gage cable. i ran it through the fire wall and under the console and back seat. it only took a few hours. it makes the rear hook up good in corners.

i did mine up in the rear also. used 00gauge welding cable.

i didnt feel like ripping up my interior, so i ran it under the car, along a stamped rail under the cabin of the car to protect it. then i ran it into the trunk thru one of the drain plugs.

it took me about 30 minutes after i figured out how i wanted to run the wiring and tested the rear grounding point i was going to use.
