Hello, here's the lowdown: I am driving down the road everything seems fine & the car loses power out of nowhere, give it some gas & the car dies. It very slowly revs when you tap the gas pedal & it dies if you try to hold the gas pedal down with moderate pressure. I have recently changed both fuel filters, air filter is fine, if feels like something is pushing against the car when i try to accelerate, i also noticed a different sound in the exhaust when the car runs like this. It runs fine sometimes & then runs like just described simply out of nowhere...BTW it's an 85 Honda CRX 1.5 Carburated....

 

it sounds like your getting to much fuel for your ignition to spark it check your plugs and wires if that doesnt work its probaly your distributor
