what causes wheel hop????
stock suspension is too soft and so are the motor mounts... you get wheel hop as everything moves and it fights for traction.
urethane bushings and stiff springs help alot.
BTW you can get wheel hop without a damage mm or something but it will eventually take its toll in short order... cv joints are usually overlooked and take a beating.

I used to have a 2001 Type R. and it was brand new, and it had wheel hop like CRAZY and it's sure didn't have too much power... i.e. no torque, but it seemed that the tires were really sticky so rather than just spin, they would get a lot of grip and would overwhelm the suspension. And the R did not have a soft suspension by any means.
I know is not the power. and what should I look for to see what is wrong with the suspension or the engine mount? or should I go to a mechanic and ask him to check it out for me? and thanks for the responses so far

Alot of things add to wheel hop. You will need to eliminate your weaks points. The ones listed above.
