Noisy does not = mean. Noisy = rice, the opposite of mean. A cheap muffler won't be a good 'loud'. For a mean loud sound, get an N1 or N1-style catback.

My fd got N1 universal muffler only on his 97 Civic Ex coupe. sounds ain't loud. when he passed by my car @3000-5000rpm. i don't hear scary sound from N1.
he said he needs to push it up to 4500rpm to get power with N1.
Any suggestion??

Does a testpipe make the N1 exhaust a lot louder? my ws didnt get much louder with the testpipe but its also the quietest exhaust that i know of. just wandering because it seems like it would be loud as hell but some people say it really isnt.

if you want noise, just extend the B pipe past the axle to the rear hanger section.. it'll be loud as **** and just barely legal. (long as you leave the cat on there) Plus you get the sleeper look... haha. i duno why you wanna do that man. if you want something that sounds mean, grab a thermal stealth axle-back w/ custom piping.
