90 Civic Ex 4-dr Master cylinder swap
I have a 90 CRX si with a 7/8" Master Cylinder that has gone bad. I did a little research here and read all the posts regarding swapping the 15/16" 90 Civic Ex 4-dr MC in for an upgrade as I plan to get the fastbrakes setup in the future, I figured I may as well get the bigger MC now since I need it. I got the master cylinder at autozone and it's almost exactly the same as mine except the flange that bolts to the booster is opposite. On mine it's like \ and on the new one it is like / I didn't read anything that said this would be the case. Can I turn the booster ¼ turn and use it, or does the flange have to be exactly the same?
Thanks in advance..

You may want to check that they gave you the right one.... I'm getting ready to do this and ordered one from Honda, the 90-91 Civic EX ones has the same flange pattern as the 2nd gen Civic/CRX. There's no need to swap boosters. A reman'd one from Autozone may look cosmetically different but the important stuff like mounting flanges shouldn't be different.
Don't have a camera right now, but someone posted a pic up in here once with them side by side. You can see they both slant the same way.

A few Q's...I can just buy the EX cylinder and install it on my 91 booster? What about the prop. valve? Is that included? What will I gain with just the EX cyl.? Firmer pedal? Just tell me exactly what is needed to do this cause mine stock one is on it's way out.
