Default Is it bad to just get springs, and not shocks?

I am thinking of just getting H&R Sport Springs, and forgetting the Koni Yellows.. Will the sport springs work ok with the stock shocks? Or am I going to run into problems? I am running 17" rims, and just wanna close the fender gap.

Yes. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

I'd like to know this as well!?... Wouldn't the stiffer shocks on the 'R allow you to get away with just lowering springs? I'd think the ride would be stiffer as such, and not cause as much travel on the shocks, is that correct?
I could see how it might not be good for racing, but what about just as a daily driver?
